Happy Days in Translate Studio

We still haven't managed to post again after starting the new series of competitions.

The idea is to reward both those of you who follow us daily on Facebook, Twitter, and our clients and collaborators with tiny tokens, which may become even more stimulating when you have to earn them.

The hard work consists in providing the right answer to the question asked as part of the competition and waiting patiently for the results.

Up until now, the stake was the book called “Some Luck” written by the Pulitzer Award winner Jane Smiley (the book wasn't yet released when the competition began), in which the author describes the history of a family throughout three decades of transformation in the US. This book went to Alexandra Cirstea, who was very inspired in translating the book's title „Cum ţi-o fi scris”. Congratulations, Alexandra, we are keeping our fingers crossed for the publishing house who will be translating it into Romanian to be inspired by your idea.

The second prize awarded recently was a book called “Questions are actually answers” by Allan Pease, showcasing that the art of sales is learned not born with. The book went to Doru Fokt, who was the first to answer the question “What is between Heaven and Earth”. With us being a linguistic company, it was obvious that the answer would be found somewhere in the text. Congratulations Doru for solving the mystery.

We wish to continue the surprise tradition, so in December, the month of presents, we promise you something new and exciting. Stay tuned, there will be many surprises coming your way.

We have more great news! As you saw on Facebook, our colleague, Gina, was a speaker at the Interdisciplinary Engineering event which took place at the Petru Maior University in Targu Mures, during October 9-10. The excellent performance earned her an invitation the next day as well. But she didn't stop here, she went back to inform the young technical students about their opportunities in the linguistic world, without being limited to translations. She received many positive answers, many of them expressed their interest, sent their resumes and solved tests to check their abilities.
